Professional Application
 
For standard AMARA shades:
1. Prep Your Natural Nail
Prepare the natural nail thoroughly, ensuring the nail plate is clean, shaped and free from dust, oils and moisture.
2. Base Coat
Apply MO Overlay Base Gel evenly and cure according to the recommended curing time for your lamp.
3. Colour Application
Apply one or two thin coats of your chosen AMARA Fine Silk shade, curing between each layer.
4. Top Coat
Finish with your preferred MONails top coat:
MO Metallica Non-Wipe Top Coat
MO MACRO Non-Wipe Top Coat
For white and very light cool shades, use MO Ultra Violet Non-Wipe Top Coat
 
Professional Application for Fine Silk Shades
Pearl gel polishes require a slightly different application technique to achieve their signature smooth, silky and streak-free finish.
1. Create a perfectly smooth base
Pearl finishes can highlight imperfections, so ensure your base layer is smooth, even and fully cured before applying the colour.
2. Use a controlled amount of product
Remove excess gel from one side of the brush, leaving a small, even amount of product. Avoid overloading the brush.
3. Float — Don't Scrub
Apply the gel using light, controlled strokes. Gently guide the product towards the cuticle, then float the brush over the nail rather than repeatedly brushing back and forth.
Work down the centre of the nail first, followed by each side, using long, smooth movements.
4. Apply Thin Layers
For the most even pearl effect, apply two thin coats rather than one thick coat. Allow each layer to self-level and cure fully before applying the next.
5. Keep Your Final Strokes Light
The secret to a flawless pearl finish is minimal brush pressure. Once the colour is evenly distributed, avoid repeatedly going back over the surface, as excessive brushing can disturb the pearl particles and create visible streaks.
6. Seal & Shine
Cap the free edge lightly and cure according to the recommended curing time. Finish with your chosen MONails non-wipe top coat for a smooth, high-shine finish.
